Roberta is a PinnacleCare Advocate based in Chicago, Illinois. She has more than 15 years of counseling experience in the healthcare field. She brings to her Members strong communication and clinical assessment skills. She is committed to helping her Members meet their health goals.
At an early age Roberta became interested in the medical field and helping individuals by lending a hand at her father’s surgical supply company. She went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in special education from The University of Florida and pursued her Master’s degree in counseling from Georgia State.
Before becoming a PinnacleCare Advocate, Roberta worked for the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, ranked the best physical medicine and rehabilitation hospital for fifteen years in a row. There she developed and coordinated programs that provided support and information to families. In addition, Roberta acted as a liaison between patients, doctors, and other medical staff to ensure communication and quality of care.
Roberta’s experience working with families in crisis has led her to understand how over- whelming the healthcare system can be. She sees her role as a PinnacleCare Advocate as an opportunity to help Members make sense of the healthcare system and help them obtain optimal health and well being. Throughout her career she has demonstrated that she is not only able to provide support and counsel for families, but she can also serve as a connector to valuable resources, both of which are abilities that are a wonderful benefit to the PinnacleCare Member families she serves.
Roberta lives with her husband and two daughters in Evanston, Illinois. She volunteers for committees and fundraisers at her children’s schools. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, music, reading and walking the family dog.
