How do you manage the use of PinnacleCare Advocate teams?
Having our PinnacleCare Advocates working in teams allows us to better serve our Members in the following ways: - Someone in addition to your primary PinnacleCare Advocate is "up to speed" on the family's health, and can take action if the primary PinnacleCare Advocate is unavailable due to a family emergency or illness.
- Our PinnacleCare Advocates' backgrounds and experiences are broad, and their skill sets are diverse. Collaborating allows us to better serve the Member by exposing them to resources that might not otherwise have been considered and pertinent past experiences that may be relevant. In a medical emergency, a PinnacleCare Advocate residing near the Member may have pertinent local information that would be very helpful in the situation.
- Our 24/7 on-call line is staffed by a PinnacleCare Advocate who is "in the loop" on active health situations. This assures, for example, that if a Member undergoing chemotherapy suddenly gets ill and is hospitalized in the middle of the night, the PinnacleCare Advocate assisting the Member is familiar with his or her situation, and has access to information about the Member's physicians, treatment, etc. The PinnacleCare Advocates have 24/7 access to both our secure database of medical information and our Members' medical records.
