How does PinnacleCare recommend physicians to its Members?

We recommend physicians based on their experience and insights from leaders in their field of practice. Experience is defined by many factors including: medical school and residency training; current research and teaching responsibilities; where they currently practice (are they at a center of excellence known for renowned expertise in a given specialty?); number of patients treated in a particular illness category, number of procedures (specific to the one the Member requires) performed in a given year and evaluation of treatment results. We weigh the importance of specific elements of a physician's background depending on the specialty, and provide this information and our analysis to our Members in a Medical Intelligence Report™. Outstanding lawsuits and disciplinary actions are checked before a recommendation is made.
