Electronic Health Records -- Bringing PinnacleCare's Services Full Circle

As more and more PinnacleCare members take advantage of our Electronic Health Records, we are discovering just how valuable this benefit is for them, their physicians and our health advisors. Having organized, comprehensive, physician-reviewed records available 24/7 provides critical information when immediate decisions need to be made.

PinnacleCare Electronic Health Records came to the rescue for me at a recent oncology check-up. The doctor asked for my bone density history, and the PinnacleCare health advisor didn’t know the exact numbers.

"I didn't have to have my medical care delayed."

Fortunately, I have PinnacleCare, and gave the advisor permission to have the oncologist login to my Electronic Health Records website. The doctor was immediately able to get the numbers and medical history she needed. She was thoroughly impressed with the site, appreciating its value and ability to save a lot of time. The advisor didn’t have to go back to the office to retrieve the needed data, the doctor didn’t have to wait to make a medical decision, and I didn’t have to have my medical care delayed.

A few weeks later, another advisor was attending an appointment with that same oncologist. The doctor brought up the Electronic Health Records feature she had previously seen and told the advisor that she has a patient she wants to refer to PinnacleCare. Putting this new feature to use has helped our services come full circle.
