From 1990 to 2006, Dr. Zuckerman was director of the New York University Hospital of Joint Diseases’ orthopedic surgery residency program, which is recognized as the largest in the country. Currently, as the Surgeon-In-Chief of the
Dr. Zuckerman has been recognized as “Alumnus of the Year” by the Medical College of Wisconsin Alumni Association and “Teacher of the Year” by
Dr. Zuckerman is a member of the Executive Committee of the Medical Board of NYU Medical Center, and a member of the Surgical Chair Committee/Perioperative Services Committee. He also previously served as the Chief of Shoulder Service and the Director of the Geriatric Hip Fracture Program of the Hospital for Joint Diseases’ Orthopedic Institute.
Dr. Zuckerman has written over 250 publications, including articles in Journal of Pediatric Orthopedics, Journal of Shoulder & Elbow Surgery, Clinical Orthopedics, Orthopedic Trauma and Geriatrics. He has also edited or co-authored 14 textbooks. Dr. Zuckerman is a national and international lecturer on a range of orthopedic surgery topics.
