Emergency Support While Traveling

A PinnacleCare Member had an emergency while traveling away from home. He began to experience heart palpitations while on a business trip and called PinnacleCare while in route to the hospital.

His PinnacleCare Advocate immediately called the hospital and within minutes, informed the hospital staff that the Member was on the way. Following this update the Advocate pre-registered the Member, faxed over his medical records, spoke to the attending cardiologist, and ensured that the family member had the correct directions to the ER.

When this PinnacleCare Member arrived at the ER, the hospital registrar was waiting for him at the door. The attending cardiologist was able to review his medical records and provide immediate attention and the best care possible.

However, PinnacleCare’s services did not end there. Following the Member’s return home, PinnacleCare scheduled a follow-up visit to his regular cardiologist and made sure all the information from the ER visit was sent to his local doctor.
