For Our Member’s Convenience
A PinnacleCare Member explained to his PinnacleCare Advocate that he had recently been to see his orthopedist in regards to his hip pain. The orthopedist suggested that the Member schedule an appointment to receive a bone scan, as well as an epidermal injection for the pain. Since the Member was under a tight schedule, he wanted these appointments scheduled the next day and preferably back-to-back so that he could maximize his time.
The PinnacleCare Advocate immediately contacted the nuclear medicine and anesthesiologist departments at the hospital that the Member had requested. Between phone calls, the Advocate became aware that if she was not careful how she scheduled the appointments, it could result in false reading for the bone scan.
At the end of the day, the Member’s PinnacleCare Advocate had arranged all of the appointments the Member needed, with an empty block of time in between for him to grab some lunch, as the hospital recommended that he has some food in his stomach before the epidermal injection. The Member received an email with his entire schedule for the following day, as well as a personal note from his PinnacleCare Advocate informing him that she had already pre-registered him at the hospital.
