Baltimore, (Jan. 10, 2017) – Veteran healthcare executive James M. Mead is appointed President and CEO of Baltimore-based PinnacleCare International. Mead succeeds Les Bider who will assume the position as Vice Chairman of the Company’s Board of Directors.

Mead began his affiliation with PinnacleCare by serving on the Board of Directors for three years, prior to his appointment as PinnacleCare CEO.  For 20 years prior, Mead served as the President and CEO of Capital BlueCross in Harrisburg, Pa., where he continues as a member of the Board. He also served on the Boards of Directors for several healthcare companies, including the national BlueCross BlueShield Association, and as a board member and former Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank in Philadelphia.

Mead holds a Master’s degree in Economics from The Pennsylvania State University. He lives in Camp Hill, Pa.
