Kevin B. Waters, M.D.

Since 1999, Dr. Kevin Waters has been the Director of the Duke Executive Health Program at the Center of Living, North Carolina.

Dr. Waters is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and holds a medical license from the State of North Carolina and New Mexico. Dr. Waters’ clinical interest is focused on comprehensive health assessments and executive health.

He started his medical career as a Physician’s Assistant following graduation from the Baylor College of Medicine in Texas. He received his Doctorate of Medicine in 1984 from the University of New Mexico. Dr. Waters continued his post-graduate medical training at Duke University where he completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine. During his period of training, Dr. Waters received a “Golden Apple” award by the medical students for excellence in teaching.

In 1987, he moved back to Albuquerque and established a very successful private practice. Continuously committed to excellence, Dr. Walters shared his busy schedule between his private practice and the Presbyterian Hospital of New Mexico serving as a member of the Medical Staff Executive Committee and the Board of Directors. By 1993, he was appointed as the Vice-Chairman of the Department of Medicine and only a year later promoted to Chairman of the same division.
