Nicki Fortney is Chief Operating Officer at PinnacleCare. In this leadership position, she is responsible for the continued growth, competitiveness, and profitability of PinnacleCare Group services for both group and specialty markets. Nicki is also charged with setting the strategy for the brand and coordinating activities across the value chain to effect efficiency, consistency across all aspects of the business and to drive the success and sustainability of the company.

Nicki has been with PinnacleCare for 15 years and has held several positions instrumental in shaping the organization’s innovative products and service delivery models. Prior to her appointment as Chief Experience Officer, Nicki led the customer service team, ensuring that the customer, member, and partner experience delivered realized value that resulted in high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. She also played a key role in building the physician relations initiative, helping to solidify strategic partnerships and professional relationships with medical centers of excellence and top physicians worldwide.

With the goal of providing accessible health advisory services to a broader audience, Nicki worked in collaboration with Dr. Miles Varn, CEO, and Bruce Spector, Founder, to construct an episodic service model for what today is the PinnacleCare Group business.

Andy Beal joined PinnacleCare in 2007 as the company’s Chief Information & Security Officer. Andy is responsible for the strategy, operations, and budget for the protection of the enterprise information assets and management. He developed and oversees PinnacleCare’s Information Security Program and leads implementations of all information technology and security initiatives, with the goal of supporting business operations to enhance the quality of service, improve security and help prepare PinnacleCare for growth.

Prior to joining PinnacleCare, Andy was a Team Leader and Project Manager for an IT consulting firm where he managed a team of network engineers and was responsible for roughly 150 clients in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Andy was responsible for the planning and execution of all projects for his team’s clients and performed CIO-level audits as a service that resulted in recommendations for each client’s future growth and security concerns.

Andy has a BS in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

Prior to joining PinnacleCare, Nuran served as a Senior Patient Coordinator for 9 years at Johns Hopkins International (JHI), where she worked with PinnacleCare founder John Hutchins and PinnacleCare Vice President Deniz Ozkok. Nuran's attention to detail, discretionary nature and warmth helped to create a comfortable and trusting environment for Johns Hopkins patients.

Ms. Saydam joined PinnacleCare in 2004. Her efforts in ensuring members enjoy a high quality experience continue to support the excellence in service for which PinnacleCare is known.

Dr. Robert Connors is the Chief Medical Officer of PinnacleCare. Dr. Connors earned his medical degree from The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City in 1995, and completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at The Mount Sinai Hospital. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and successfully recertified in 2010. Dr. Connors comes to PinnacleCare after 15 years in clinical practice with Johns Hopkins. He spent the last ten years as lead physician of his practice, and led two offices to new success in patient and employee satisfaction. Dr. Connors is a fellow of the American College of Physicians. He is also a graduate of the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School with a Masters in Business Administration. As Chief Medical Officer of PinnacleCare, Dr. Connors is responsible for overseeing, assisting and bringing new medical advances to the company’s Health Advisor teams throughout the world.

Dr. Miles J. Varn is the Chief Executive Officer of PinnacleCare. He is responsible for effecting strategic growth and expanding upon innovation for PinnacleCare’s portfolio business. Dr. Varn has served on the PinnacleCare Board of Directors for 13 years. Prior to his appointment as CEO, Dr. Varn served as the Chief Medical Officer for PinnacleCare. In that role he developed relationships with top centers of excellence and physicians around the world and served as the chief contact with the distinguished PinnacleCare Medical Advisory Board. He also built PinnacleCare’s VirtualConnect program which brings remote expertise from more than 25 top academic institution to clients wherever they reside.

Dr. Varn joined PinnacleCare after 15 years of innovation and leadership at Inova Fairfax Hospital, a level 1 trauma center with 75,000 patient visits per year. In 2004, Dr. Varn was awarded the Inova Health System’s Service Excellence Legend Award for extraordinary patient care.

Dr. Varn is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and American Academy of Family Physicians. He earned his Medical Degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine.
